Telephone and Skype Counselling
With our fast-paced, hectic lifestyles, it can be
difficult to meet in person and telephone and Skype can offer viable
alternatives to the traditional counselling setting. Phone and Skype
counselling, from the comfort of your own home or office, can provide
anonymity and confidentiality to help you face problems and find new
solutions. Whether struggling with transportation, you have limited
therapeutic help available in your area, or you prefer to stay at
home, technology can assist in connecting you to the help you need.
For individuals not able to meet face to face,
telephone counselling is shown to work effectively. Couples therapy via
Skype may be an alternative for couples who cannot meet in person.
For technological alternatives to be effective, it
is important to set aside time for therapy and give your undivided
attention to the session. Childcare, driving, meal preparation, or other
activities will interfere with the therapeutic process.
